Waterville
United Church of Christ
Seeking to walk in the Way of Jesus, we are an Open and Affirming church, faithfully using what we have and who we are to serve those on the margins of our community. No matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here!
Sunday School and Adult Ed
Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the Kingdom of Heaven. - Matthew 19:14
Our Sunday School experience is, intentionally, both fun, and safe! Everyone who works with our children has gone through an interview process, background check, infant/child CPR training, and has read and signed a statement saying they understand our "Safe Church" Policy, which you can read here
Our Sunday School experience begins with the young folks attending the start of worship with their loved ones who have brought them here. We have "A Time for the Young at Heart" during worship, which is usually a book, read by our pastor. After that, if they wish, they go to Sunday School with our teacher, Sarah Mills. If they don't want to do that, they are very welcome to stay with you for the duration of the worship service. We have a little pray place in one corner of our sanctuary where you may sit with your child and have fun. We love to hear children with us in worship!
Due to COVID-19 considerations, our Sunday school lessons are being shared via our YouTube channel and Facebook page.
Adult Ed Opportunities
Because our walk with Jesus doesn't end with Sunday School, or Confirmation Class, we offer opportunities for adults to enrich their lives of discipleship. Currently, there is one Adult Ed class happening on Zoom: Thursday nights from 6-7 p.m beginning on October 15th. All are welcome to join at any time. For more information, email Sarah, our Christian Education Supervisor.
